Preparation of entangled and antiferromagnetic states by dissipative Rydberg pumping.
We propose and analyze an approach for preparation of high fidelity entanglement and antiferromagnetic states using Rydberg mediated interactions with dissipation. Using asymmetric Rydberg interactions the two-atom Bell singlet is a dark state of the Rydberg pumping process. Master equation simulations demonstrate Bell singlet preparation fidelity F=0.998. Antiferromagnetic states are generated...
متن کاملDestruction of long-range antiferromagnetic order by hole doping
We study the renormalization of the staggered magnetization of a twodimensional antiferromagnet as a function of hole doping, in the framework of the t-J model. It is shown that the motion of holes generates decay of spin waves into ”particle-hole” pairs, which causes the destruction of the long-range magnetic order at a small hole concentration. This effect is mainly determined by the coherent...
متن کامل1/N expansion and long range antiferromagnetic order.
The staggered magnetization of the Heisenberg antiferromagnet in two dimensions can be systematically approximated by a 1/N expansion. Cancellation between self energy diagrams leads to a Luttingerlike theorem for the ground state. We prove (for a smooth enough self energy) that the long range order of mean field theory (N=∞) survives corrections to all orders of 1/N . Divergences of this serie...
متن کاملPhoton Devil’s staircase: photon long-range repulsive interaction in lattices of coupled resonators with Rydberg atoms
The realization of strong coherent interactions between individual photons is a long-standing goal in science and engineering. In this report, based on recent experimental setups, we derive a strong photon long-range repulsive interaction, by controlling the van der Waals repulsive force between Cesium Rydberg atoms located inside different cavities in extended Jaynes-Cummings-Hubbard lattices....
متن کاملFerromagnetic and antiferromagnetic order in bacterial vortex lattices
Despite their inherent non-equilibrium nature1, living systems can self-organize in highly ordered collective states2,3 that share striking similarities with the thermodynamic equilibrium phases4,5 of conventional condensed matter and fluid systems. Examples range from the liquid-crystal-like arrangements of bacterial colonies6,7, microbial suspensions8,9 and tissues10 to the coherent macro-sca...
